Avenue West has been working with Amplify Philly, the organization that puts on B.PHL, for over 7 years. This year, we helped Amplify Philly and B.PHL join their social media presences and built upon their existing brands to bring their global event to life.
Building upon the existing B.PHL logo, we developed a visual identity system consisting of variations on their logo mark — the lightning bolt. This festival is known for spanning across industries, so we aimed to reflect that diversity through an array of patterns, brush strokes and styles.
Our central challenge was to merge two distinct Instagram accounts, Amplify Philly and B.PHL Fest, into a singular, compelling digital presence. The goal was to seamlessly combine both brands’ visual identities while increasing event marketing output and nurturing the existing audience. Furthermore, we developed a strategy that positions the page as a year-round destination for content and engagement on all things Philly business, culture, and tech.
Avenue West loves designing physical environments. For B.PHL Fest we wrapped the entire festival space in our design work. From decals on the windows and entrances, to interior signage and custom banners, we created a signature, on-brand look for a seamless blend of B.PHL’s digital and in-person experiences.
This was B.PHL’s best year the team said. Engagement was high, turnout was Increased and the experience was at its peak. The team is thrilled with the results and excited for next year.
